RSS, OPML, Twitter, news radars

I like playing with the latest web apps, my desktop still runs Windows XP, and yes, I'd like to try the new iPhone 3G. My professional passion lies with RSS and OPML technology. I try out any tool and service I can get my hands on and use them to create custom news profiles for clients, allowing them to stay updated about the latest news in their industry or topic of interest. I refer to these profiles as news radars. They can be embedded on a website, turned into an e-mail newsletter or be delivered over IM. I cherish theI have with vendors of the technologies that I use.

Reboot10 brought me an exciting opportunity: I've been invited to become a guest author at Stowe Boyd's blog /Message. I kindly accepted the offer.

I'm active on Twitter with two accounts: as @CleverClogs I link to stuff that I think you might like, mostly IT-related. I like positive news. At @TwToolTrack I describe new Twitter tools, services and remarkable blog posts by others, like a snake that bites its own tail. While tweeting I proudly use Snipr.com as my URL-shortening service, because it lets me choose a meaningful name alias, because it lets me change the underlying URL whenever I want to, and because it tracks clicks.

I call The Hague in the Netherlands my home, but also have strong ties with California (Redwood City and surroundings), where I lived from 2002 to 2003.
