Ashwin Rajan

Interaction Designer, Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design.

Information Architecture, Service Design, Instructional Design, Scenarios & Concept Generation, Human-Centered Innovation methods and process.

With a seven year design, consulting, research and writing career behind him, Ash is currently part of the Interaction Design Pilot Year at the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design (CIID). After graduating in psychology and sociology, he found himself compulsively attracted to user-centered and interaction design projects. Initially working as a writer and researcher, he has progressively worn the hats of information architect and instructional designer.
In the course of his career, he has participated and led information product development in learning, social development, human capital, defense, agriculture and manufacturing industries. Ash has worked in both India and in the US and is enthusiastic about working with different cultures globally. His leading interests as an interaction designer are the social and cultural dimensions of information technology, the design of services, and design methods & processes for innovation. He considers himself an autodidact, and loves to play the roles of context-setter, clarifier and integrator. Concepts around future societies and technologies, systems thinking & emergence, perception, and human+information relationships are an instant draw. With a little more time at hand, Ash finds himself returning to photography, and recently, penning the first pages of a graphic novel.
