All my life I dreamed of being involved in research - and this dream finally came true. In 2002, while running a EU project in Romania I stumbled upon blogging by accident . After the first Blogtalk, it became my "violon d'Ingres" - until my colleagues at Fraunhofer IESE thought it would be an interesting research topic!

Right now, I am working on a research project studying the collaborative work practices in distributed software development. I'm part of a fantastic group - the Interaction Design Centre at the University of Limerick, Ireland- and I am very fond of my work.

In my free time, I advise companies, NGOs and individuals on topics such as social media, knowledge management, outsourcing and online meetings.
I am interested in the facilitation of online collaboration, interaction design, social networking, knowledge management, flow and in many other things (complementary therapies, yoga and classical music among others).
