I think it is a bit like thinking about your first lover.

Reboot 7 was my first conference ever. It was the first time I really felt around people who are interested in what I am interested in, and beyond.

Where I was not the strange one, but between peers. Consequently I quit my normal job and become full time emersed in this space. Not by accident was the first day of this new life the first day of Reboot 8. ;)

It is also like midsummers night, a rebooting of life, true to the meaning of the name.

// WHAT I DO
People hire me to be 'cruel to be kind'. :o) Basically I am your biz / tech sparring partner with a talent for asking the right questions and a fresh perspective. This works great for companies wanting to go into this web 2.0 stuff and need a quick primer on what to do (and especially on what not to do) as well as for startups and indivuals who are caught up in their own world and need some outside perspective. Similar to the fact that I like to do pre conference podcasts, I like to be more involved in the abstract / strategic "pre stages".

Not sure how to describe it, but you also could say I am in part an explorer who likes to look at new areas and connect them with the old world, meaning for example that I love to get more germans on the international space as well as get others interested in Europe, let biz talk to tech, open source to commercial etc etc. Looking forward meeting you. ;)
