Writes for the Irish Examiner. Named "Best Tech Blogger" at 2007 Irish Blog Awards. Multimedia lecturer at Tipperary Institute.
I started writing for a school newspaper in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and ended up going to college in Colorado where I spent more time traveling away from campus than studying in classrooms. I talked my way into pilot training and finished my cockpit time by training more than 500 pilots how to take off, fly close behind other aircraft, fly lower than radar and land safely. I hung up my wings after logging more than 3500 hours without an accident but I occasionally slip the surly bonds of earth when someone else pays for the thrill.
I've lived outside the USA since December 1986, primarily in Germany and Ireland. Today, I teach in a small college and write for a national newspaper.
Ruth and I are expecting this September so Reboot 9 will be the wrap-up tour for my international travels.
