Free money

In this age of free electrons, money is still transferred through expensive and inefficient means. Sending money should be as simple and free as sending email.

I want to open a conversation about why money has not jumped to the Internet age yet, and what we can do to improve the situation...

Money transfer methods seems stuck in the 1980s, I guess it is the oligopol of the banks/credit card companies that are slowing down development since they control the infrastructure. We need a grassroot initiative that can disrupt this standstill!
