When you have the freedom to do anything, what do you choose?
You have the freedom to pursue almost any interesting idea that comes your way. How do you choose what to actually do? What are the relevant criteria beyond "possible" and "profitable"? How do you ensure that what you do will be really meaningful to you?
I will take you through a series of simple questions that will lead you to the answer to this challenge for yourself, so you'll have a clear sense of purpose and direction from this point forward.
Terminal socialism
I find it interesting in Finland, where really there is no worry, how folks choose occupations. I feel that here you can do whatever you want, yet, society does stratify.
Why? Maybe it's culture informing ambition, natural talent and interest, social propensities, and (what I feel) the dampening effect of a hyper-efficient social system, dare I say, 'terminal socialism'?
What do you think?
Look forward to the discussion that ensues (alas, I'm not there this year).
