The web of things, spimes and other topics of discussion

The information we are working with is leaving the web how can we follow it.

The dead of URL's, replaced by search and barcodes and rfid and ... is a first trend that proofs our world is changing.
The web of things is becoming a reality with rfid chips, intelligent objects and spime's.
The ubiquitous computer follows us everywhere.

Al these trends have a vast impact on the sources and streams of information we deal with. How can we capture them and integrate them with the information environments we are used to dealing with as Information Architects.

This presentation is part of an ongoing project looking at the future of our industry in it's broadest sense. Part of it has been presented during Barcamps in Belgium, Holland and France and as such it is a great introduction to a lively discussion with the audience on sustainable, future strategies for information management, interface design and user experience.

The solutions? Cross platform taxonomies, navigation and meta data, microformats, widgets and gadgets, open social, seo, presentation frameworks, pattern libraries, peer to peer CMS systems and other futuristic solutions that are becoming a available to all of us.
