Free Organizations
Is it possible for organizations from small to large to operate on the principles of freedom rather than fear and control?
In the new world of work, the organizations that are increasingly the most successful are the ones that operate on the principles of freedom, not fear and control. In this session, I'll share best practices and stories from organizations featured on the WorldBlu List of Most Democratic Workplaces™, an annual award given to the most "free" organizations in the world. Some of the organizations we'll explore include Linden Lab (the makers of Second Life), DaVita (The first Fortune 500 company to take the WorldBlu List), 1-800-GOT-JUNK? and others.
Along the way, you'll be invited to rethink assumptions about what freedom and democracy actually look like in the workplace and explain why “getting naked,” “renouncing rankism,” and “pointing fingers” are some of the best ways to become free!
