micropresentations (again!)
15 slides...20 seconds per slide
Micro-presentations are inspired by the runaway success of Pecha Kucha - the "20 slides/20 seconds each" presentation format created in Japan a few years ago.
It's an incredibly exhilarating, creative experience for both presenters and the audience. Presentations are auto-timed; presenters are up against their own wits and skill to talk for 20 seconds before before their slide automatically moves to displaying the next!
Lots of fun - shall we do them again this year?
1) I'LL COMPERE/ORGANISE...
I'll pop all the presentations on my laptop and we'll be able to squeeze a bunch of presenters to follow each other in rapid succession.
2) IF YOU CONTRIBUTE....
I cordially invite to anyone who wants to structure a rapid fire presentation (maybe an existing presentation, or a brand new idea) to join in.
3) BY GRABBING A TEMPLATE...
(PowerPoint or Keynote - keynote preferred): www.participo.com/files/micropresentations/
4) AND SENDING ME YOUR PRESENTATION...
Setup your presentation into the template, and then send me a link to the file (easy way -
use senduit.com to upload)
5) I'LL ORGANISE THE SLOTS...
By hassling Thomas for slots and rooms!
6) AND WE'LL HAVE A GOOD TIME...
If you all turn up!

Again?
Well, I hereby volunteer to make an ass out of myself. Again. Drop me a line if you'll have me.
HTML?
I'd like to do a 20x20 talk as well if there are still slots available. Do you accept HTML as presentation format? (Requires Opera to run which is available for most platforms.)
html? no problem...
As long as it auto-runs, as I get very confused, very easily! Last time, I ran them all from a single machine, and we were able to squeeze a bunch of people in...so, yeah, zip it up and send it over :-)
Count me in
I am a little late on building my micropresentation, so it won't be finished before the reboot, but please, please reserve a spot for me :)

Hey Guy!
Already wondered when your proposal was going to pop up here. :-)
If you find yourself having a spare slot, drop me a line. I'd be more than happy to think (again) of something to tell in 20x20 seconds!
