Facilitators Pool
A pool of volunteer facilitators to help you create your session
During the 2006 Reboot a friend wanted to do a session at Reboot. His idea came during the first morning of Reboot. But he felt unsure about hosting a session by himself, more precise, he needed help at facilitating. The Facilitators Pool aims to provide just that.
Do you want to do a session at Reboot, but don't feel completely comfortable to also facilitate or moderate it? Why don't you ask someone to lend you a hand. There are plenty of people at Reboot who will be able to facilitate with you. And if the topic is right, they probably would like to help you out. So you can focus on content.
So I propose to create a facilitators pool.
Volunteers agree to take a request for help at facilitating seriously. If they have time, energy, like the topic, etc, they agree to help out.
Those asking for help agree to approach possible facilitators at the earliest opportunity. Like before the conference, or some time before the proposed session. So that the facilitator can help you prepare the session. This means: not 15 mins before people show up for your session. Well, you catch my drift.

I could give a hand...
I like the idea! I'm thinking of suggesting a session myself, and teaming up with another facilitator would make me feel more comfortable.
And I'm ready to help whoever asks me to!

at reboot10 we've put together a 'host team' out of our crew. they'll help participants navigate through the program, guide to workshops and refer to conversationzones for more quiet talks - and a group of experienced facilitators is a great help.
so thanks for initiating this, we'd much appreciate your help!

I have a talk in mind which I haven´t posted as a proposal yet for the very resaons you mentioned. Topic in mind, first time Reboot participant, unsure how this thing works....

@Pernille, I will get in touch with you on the first day. (Or perhaps the evening before during the boat ride). So we can see how this can fit in with your 'master plan' for the event :)
@Nadia. Cool! Well it is probably a good idea then to propose your session here on the site. So we can start matching you and your topic to one of the volunteers. And arrange a meet up on Thursday morning to discuss how we can help you out!
