How Campware's free software tools are helping independent media in emerging democracies.
Campware is an initiative of the Media Development Loan Fund, which assists independent media in emerging democracies worldwide. Based on projects and implementations in places ranging from Sierra Leone to the former Yugoslavia, tools have been developed that are specialized to meet the needs of media organizations. The tools are then released as free and open source software under the Campware brand. This talk will present some of the successful ways Campware's tools have been used in various places worldwide. It will especially focus on Campcaster, playout automation and archive system for community radio stations.
