Citizens of the future

Conversation with Ewan McIntosh

Humans don't make widgets any more, but has anyone told the schools?
2007 is the most important year of the millennium for our youngsters: 16 year olds to enter the job market will do so this year having been the first to have been brought up entirely in the Internet age; six year olds heading into elementary school will do so being the first to have only ever known the age of one-click-publishing. What does this mean for the youngest - and arguably most important - humans in our society?

When the world is changing rapidly, education has traditionally taken a little while to catch up. Currently, we're about 400 years out of date, but things are changing in some corners of the planet.

I'd like to show where developments have been made, could be made quicker and how visionaries, business and Government can connect better to the youngest - and arguably most important - humans in our society.
