MICROBLOGGING
Tin social objects
Thomas asked me to say that this will be a "Jyri-style" talk and not a corporate pitch for Jaiku... so there, I said it :)
I plan to talk about what gets me excited right now, and that's microblogging. I want to continue where I left off with "social peripheral vision" (www.zengestrom.com/blog/2006/07/blind_mens_base.html) last year and "object-centered sociality" (www.zengestrom.com/blog/2005/04/why_some_social.html) the previous year, and talk about a new trend in social objects on the Internet. Social objects are
1) becoming smaller
2) their value diminishes more quickly over time
3) they travel across different channels
More to come...
