Aiducation awards merit-based high school scholarships to bright and needy students in developing countries who don't have access to high school education. Each scholarship costs 400€ per year, and lasts for 4 years. Annual progress reports summarize the performance of "your" scholar and establish an exclusive 1:1 relation.
Their principle can be exemplified by Julius Mramba from Kenya. Julius passed his primary school (which is free of charge in Kenya) as one of the best 2% of all students in his year and couldn't afford to pay his school fees for high school.
Actions:
None as yet - Aiducation is an established organisation, with clear goals and spending activities, so it's really a case of awarding the grant.
From their website, it costs 400€ per year to fund a student, so this Action Grant will support a student for two years.
(from the website):
As funders, we'll get an annual progress reports summarising the performance of "our" scholar. We can select a student from a pool of high potentials, and we can name the scholarship if we like
