Action Grant: Anti counterfeit drug label concept

This was an idea put forward by Vinay Venkatraman:

I propose to create an SMS based counterfeit check system based on a numeric encryption code check (just like a mobile refill) to create unique ids for drug packaging from trusted sources and suppliers. I propose to use trust as a currency and enable small pharmacies to provide trustworthy medication.

I need funding to bootstrap the idea with basic GSM hardware and some code implementation to create an open-source ecosystem of developers around it.

Actions:

Vinay would really like to connect with people who have contacts/experience in SMS relays, and anyone who has contacts within African states.
