Getting to action

Practical tools to help you act

Let's go beyond the whole "getting things done", "just do it", "plan and execute", "7 habits" stuff - which has never really worked for a lot of people anyway.

Do you have something you'd really like to do - but for some reason you just don't do it? Is there some idea, project, vision you could've been acting on - but it's still only a dream? This talk may have some input for you.

What really helps us act and start working towards our goals? And what keeps us stuck, frustrated and only dreaming of acting?

I'm not a natural born action-kinda-guy myself, so I've had to learn some of the tricks it takes to get up and do stuff and I'd love to share those.

I'll base it on examples from some highly unconventional and highly successful people, including Fred Gratzon, Richard Branson, Ricardo Semler, Peter Block and Ben Zander.

We'll also focus on some insights from psychology, neurology, sociology and business that are known to promote action and change.

My own story is also a pretty good example and I'll talk a little about how I quit my IT career and became one of the world's leading experts in happiness at work :o)

I'll be there!

Listening to Alexander talking about his Semler and the rest of heroes in a tactical way will make me happy!

@Alexander - any pre-reading we could do, to increase our knowledge (and ask good questions!)?
