Needed: Your spare ideas

share your spare ideas; persuade others into action...

You know all those ideas you've had, but have basically given up on any chance of finding the time to actually, you know, go and do them?

Let's repeat the session from last year, where people bring their 'spare ideas' to the Reboot community of hackers, doers, thinkers, designers, you get the idea...

Last year's session was excellent - we had some great 'spare' ideas and connections between people:

I'll host+organise the session along the same lines as last year; you have a think and lend your spare ideas...

Quick note on format

It was a small, focused session last year.

I thought the format, although a bit ad-hoc, worked pretty well...so, if we do run this session, I propose to repeat like so:

  • timer/clock projected onto wall:
  • 3 or 4 people volunteer to take notes (or maybe we record and I'll get the audio transcribed)
  • everyone gets a minute to pitch their idea/plan/request
  • the room spends 2/3 minute Q&A
  • move on to the next person's spare idea...repeat

Sounds very interesting.

How do we turn this into ACTION, to fit with this years theme?

By identifying ideas and taking the first few steps of putting them into ACTION right there and then?
