Homemade Ubiquitous Computing

RFID is making huge inroads to our society and our environment is getting smaller. However, can we take action ourselves in guiding and understanding these developments?

This talk gives a brief overview of Ubiquitous Computing – or what's called the Internet of Things, or Everyware, or Physical Computing, et cetera. Starting from the assumption that currently big organizations are in control of Ubiquitous Computing, we'll look at some awesome work done by individuals and small teams to show that, hey, anybody can build this stuff.

We'll also discuss what tools are available for you to start hacking on your own, homemade, ubiquitous computing.
