Pre or Post Reboot Hack Day
That would be action, right?
I realize Reboot's audience is not full on hackery, but none the less there should be plenty of geeks.
Should we try to put on a hack day?
Can we get the space? With internet connectivity?
We should - if we had a hack day, probably theme it. Find some kind of focus for writing mashups or whatever.
- I'm all for full on free form, if we can get a good group of geeks together.
Possible ideas:
Things that make sound
Data to form
Data to sound
Generative X for some value of X
Social X for some value of X
A pre Reboot event could have as a purpose to write something we could actually use during Reboot.

Roomware + Data + Hacking
Yes, hacking around Roomware would be great with some knowledgeable sponsors from the project. Let's be sure not to limit the scope, though - but think mostly of Roomware as a nice condensation point for hacking.
Not intended to limit scope
I wasn't intending to limit the scope Claus, just thought to suggest hacking around physical objects and physical spaces is fun as well.
As to data and hacking, playing around with a list of API's to little-used government data from around Europe could be fun too, to see what kind of apps one can come up with in a limited time.
I'll try to come up with some data sources and source code as imagination primers
Nothing wrong with seeding the blank slate with ideas.
- I didn't think you we're limiting anything, btw., Ton. Do you know any of the Roomware guys - could we get their attention to your proposal and this so we can be sure we actually have some Roomware to hack....
- I can bring my home lab set of sensing stuff (from webcams and wiimotes to an arduino) - but the more idea substrate we have the better.
Good idea
Perhaps build my <a href="www.reboot.dk/page/21108/en">Roomware proposal</a> into it?
Or build stuff around Spimes jamming on what could be <a href="www.zylstra.org/blog/archives/2008/11/internet_of_thi.html">social objects in the physical space</a>
