Internet based businesses are still very much global and can reach customers far away from your original country. The US is a great place to set up a business. Less administrative red tape, a can-do go-for-it attitude that is sometimes lacking in European countries (especially in France where I come from). And a huge homogeneous market.
I would be very interested by sharing experiences with people on how to set up a company, for a web based business, in the US as a non US citizen. What kind of structure ? What are the obstacles, the traps, the budget ? Should one hire a lawyer / accountant right away or rely on internet based solutions ...
