Battling the corporitization of language

the blogosphere is a success case in terms of creating language that describes the commons, the decentralized chaos.
Unlike with myspace, youtube, flickr, etc. where a brand becomes the terminology to describe what people do, phenomenons, etc.
Why did it work so well in the blogosphere, what language can we create to describe what's happening that's non-corporate?
