Happiness

Happiness is subversive

"Why are we here?" is humanity's greatest and most enduring question.

The answer is simple: We're here to be happy and make others happy.

Ask yourself this:

  • How many of the people you know are happy?
  • Do we know what makes us happy?
  • Do we spend most of our time doing things that make us happy?

If not - why not?

Happiness is not trivial - it's deadly serious. Happy people live longer, have more friends, are healthier (physically and mentally), do better at work and are more successful and wealthier.

Happiness is also deeply subversive and happy people are a major threat to many of the established structures and systems that dominate society.

And yet, considering how important it is, we know amazingly little about what makes us happy, and we spend most of our time pursuing goals and activities that don't contribute much to our happiness.

This presentation is about happiness. What is it, why does it matter and, of course, what can you do to become happier and make others happy.

It may even make you a little happier!
