How about if there were continuing conversations during the conference that actually aimed at achieving something?
I mean, like an Open Space kind of thing. Some topics to focus on, and groups of people who have a dialogue about it, and there's some kind of summary at the end. Maybe not an agreement or conclusion, but maybe. Even if it is an open-ended conversation, there's still something to learn from it. Something that can be shared with others who didn't participate in the same conversation.
There's this breathe out, breathe in sort of movement in open space. Somebody stands up and proposes something, usually with some kind of aim or outcome, then others come together around it, they discuss it, do it, or whatever, and towards the end somebody will present a summary of what was done or accomplished or decided, or what kind of experience was had.
