VisualComplexity.com is a unified resource space for anyone interested in the visualization of complex networks. With over 450 indexed projects, the goal is to leverage a critical understanding of different visualization methods, across a series of disciplines, as diverse as Biology, Social Networks or the World Wide Web.
VisualComplexity (VC) provides a vast collection of many worlds we would never see if there hadn’t been an effort to visualize them. Most projects try to make complex information easier to understand and use, and VC gathers and categorizes all of them in a unique space to facilitate sensible comparisons. VC is a growing map of maps.
This talk will expose several patterns emerging from VC as well as highlight strenghts and key features of some of the projects included in the database.
