Jonathan ive

Head of Apple's design department

2015: What design aesthetics and user friendliness?

As chief designer at Apple, Jonathan Ive is responsible for the new design aesthetics of the Apple products in recent years. Starting with the original iMac, followed bij the clean white-and-silver lines of the iPod, flatscreen iMacs and Powermacs, he's currently reinventing the bling-bling with stylish matte and shiny black designs (MacBook, iPod nano, iPhone).

Where are design aesthetic and user friendliness headed in the coming years, how does the recent 'basecampification' of online applications influence product design, and what is the secret behind the simplicity aired by most Apple products and applications?
