Pluralism in the melting pot

I've been giving this a lot of thought myself as I recently went into the process of turning my Danish/Scandinavian magazine international.

On the plusside is the possibility of involving people, views, cultures and ideas across borders and languagebarriers.

On the downside is the risk that a lot of potential Danish/Scandinavian participators are now excluded due to the English-language barrier - and (as Kåre notes) the risk that many nuances drown. A lot of us are able to get by in English just fine when it comes to everyday-chatting. But if you're a word-fetishist such as myself, you can't help feeling like a clipped bird trying to express yourself in another language than you own :-(

On the glocal plusside... I like the fact that on my first collaborative international experiment (www.shareabrainwave.net) you can still sense the different accents of the participants. After all there is still some pluralisme left in that melting pot .-)
