I like the subject but I disagree that flickr changes photography. It is not so. flickr happens *after* the photographic processs. When the photo goes oon flicker it's already taken, and in many cases post-processed as well. So, flickr is about distribution. However, technical (hardware+software) camera development changes "the photographic world at-large" by changing the tools and working conditions of photographers.

I should also point out -- strongly -- that snapshots ("momentography") or simple recording of events is not the only use for photography. Photography is as diverse a discipline as painting is, it ranges from commercial studio production, to portraits, to abstract art, to snapshots, ot even "throw your camera in the air while it shoots". And then some
