I like the subject but I disagree that flickr changes photography. It is not so. flickr happens *after* the photographic processs. When the photo goes oon flicker it's already taken, and in many cases post-processed as well. So, flickr is about distribution. However, technical (hardware+software) camera development changes "the photographic world at-large" by changing the tools and working conditions of photographers.

I should also point out -- strongly -- that snapshots ("momentography") or simple recording of events is not the only use for photography. Photography is as diverse a discipline as painting is, it ranges from commercial studio production, to portraits, to abstract art, to snapshots, ot even "throw your camera in the air while it shoots".
