Auto localization

Customization into a given language according to one's browser language or IP's address is spreading. Making it sometimes difficult to access content beyond one's language.

I always feel somehow annoyed when some web site gives me a French version of their content instead of the original (i.e. English) version. Most of the times the original version translation is of poor quality. I'd rather have the real thing.

Same thing when search engines give you a localized version (google for instance) assuming you'd first want to access local content instead of reaching to the world's vast richness.

Besides web content, sms T9 assumes that you are writing in one language at a time, same thing for spell checkers.

However I often juggle with French, English and bits of Danish, Russian, ... words whatever comes to mind at the time of writing.

Would some solution be to use the same multi language messages you find on consumer products, box of cereals, ... It's always funny to see such a variety of languages on such a small space.
