WoW vs Google ?

Father of two boys 3 and 6, I tend to keep work and family apart. I avoid working at home (my office is on the lower floor). Kids voices in the background during a conf call are definitely not well accepted.
My question would be how do you introduce all these great and fun techno tools to your kids
- keeping in mind they need a "real" life first
- our knowledge could give them a real edge in life.
Basically put how do you teach them to use google or wikipedia without going through the WoW stage ?
